Moose
Moose - Alces alces
Moose were made for wet, boggy, wild country and winter snow. Moose have long legs due to living in this environment. Shiras moose of the arid western mountains will always be fount in damp or wet places. Moose country is huge, wild and isolated. A big bull moose weighs 1,000 to 1,200 pounds and display impressive palmated antlers five (5) feet wide. Moose hunting is hard work because there is so much country to cover. The real work begins when you have a moose on the ground or in the water.
