Coyote Predator

This coyote is out roaming at night looking for something to eat. Although the coyote is a predator, coyotes will eat almost anything - small animals or vegetables. The wild coyote's primary food source is smallrodents - mice, rabbits and whitetail deer fawns. Coyotes hunt alone or in pairs and attack large mammals by attacking at the throat. The coyote is fairly fast, traveling up to 40 mph for very short distances. Wild coyotes are often seen chasing whitetail deer.
