Trophy Whitetail Buck

This very nice eight-point trophy whitetail buck stepped into our trail camera under the cover of darkness. He is probably a two-and-a-half year old deer. We have a trophy of a very similar deer hanging on the library wall.

The whitetail rut is definitely in full swing. The primary rut began in Southern Louisiana around the middle of December. The primary rut should end after the first week in January.
