Whitetail Buck Walking at Midday

This yearling whitetail buck is out walking at noon in Kentwood, Louisiana. This whitetail buck is a year and a half old (1.5 years) and has a nice rack for his age. The whitetail buck probably has a six point rack.

Now is the time of the whitetail deer rutt where whitetail bucks can be seen walking at midday. The first to move at midday are the younger whitetail buck yearlings. A couple of weeks later, the older, more mature and larger whitetail bucks sometimes move at noon. The peak of the whitetail rutt in Southern Louisiana is between Christmas and Martin Luther King's day.
